Eastport Maritime Mural
Painting large
formatted pictures (murals) would be a challenge to anyone
so when an opportunity arose to paint a large scale mural on
the outside of Hopkins Furniture warehouse in Eastport
Cindy's reply was an enthusiastic YES! Donations for the
mural came from private individuals, MRE (Maritime Republic
of Eastport), the Eastport Civic Association and the
Eastport Business Association. It took Cindy 2 months to
paint the mural that depicts over 200 years of the maritime
history of Eastport. |

Eastport Maritime
Mural 90ft x 17 ft
Cindy's original conception of the mural started out
while she was at Cafe Guru's, a local Eastport coffee shop,
as she sketched her rendition of maritime boats on pieces of
paper. The pencil sketch is of a boat depicted on the mural |

reach the 20ft maximum height of the mural, scaffolding had
to be erected. |
